The Italian-Canadian Community Foundation was created in 1975. Its primary mission has always been to raise funds and redistribute them to non-profit organizations and associations that offer services to the community. This is how the Foundation gradually assumed, over the years, the role as philanthropic leader of our community.

At the heart of the Foundation are its governors, who for the most part come from professional, financial and business backgrounds. Each one of the two-hundred-sixty-nine governors is committed to supporting the Foundation through their membership contribution and their participation to the fundraising activities.

Throughout its history, the Foundation collected several million dollars that were equitably redistributed to the various organizations of the community. In addition to its commitments, its main objective of the last six years has been to endow the community with a multi-purpose community centre. Today, the Centre Leonardo da Vinci is a lively and creative space, a place of convergence of cultures, sports and social community life that perfectly meets the needs and expectations of our fellow-citizens.
